Board Development
A well run board of directors is an essential ingredient for a successful non-profit agency. Too often board members and staff are unclear on what each other’s roles and responsibilities are. Board members are usually busy with other obligations and don’t always understand the commitment they make when they join a board. Other board members have time and energy to give and agencies often fail to tap this.
Krieger Solutions, LLC offers several services to help you build a stronger board:
- We can train staff and or board members about the board role, the board/staff interface, how to run and document effective meetings, and how to establish an effective committee structure.
- We can also design and facilitate a board retreat that will energize your board, resolve conflicts between members and between board and staff, train board and staff on the key issues noted above, and make sure everyone has a good time!
As a follow up to the training and/or retreat, we can coach board and agency leaders in how to follow through to build a stronger board.
